From Sunday 24 March 2019, Route 70 will benefit from a range of service improvements, with more departures at the weekend and improved running times throughout the week, leading to better reliability across the whole route. 

On Saturday, Route 70 will double the number of departures from Dunboyne, operating every 60 minutes from first to last bus. There will also be 7 extra departures and earlier start times on Saturday from Burlington Road. 

On Sunday, Route 70 will more than double the number of departures from Dunboyne, running every hour from first to last bus. First departure has been advanced to 08.00, approximately 2 hours earlier than previously. Combined with double the number of departures from Burlington Road and operating every hour to second last bus, Route 70 will offer a better and more flexible weekend timetable.

All changes have been approved by the National Transport Authority.
