Phase 2 of the Transport for Ireland bus network redesign begins on Sunday 28th November in West Dublin and East Kildare with the launch of the new high frequency C-Spine.
This launch will mean better frequency, improved services, increased capacity and your bus number and timetable will change.
The C-Spine
C-Spine will commence on 28th November and will serve Maynooth, Celbridge, Leixlip, Lucan, Adamstown, Liffey Valley, Palmerstown, the City Centre, Ringsend and Sandymount.
This Spine will provide enhanced bus services with high frequency spines and new local, orbital and radial routes.
C-Spine will see the introduction of Routes C1, C2, C3, C4, Route 52, peak only routes P29, X25, X26, X27, X28, X30, X31 and X32. There will also be six local routes L51, L52, L53, L54, L58 and L59.
C5 and C6 will be night-time routes and will follow a similar pattern to Routes C3 and C4, but will operate via Chapelizod. In addition, the C1 and C2 will operate a 24-hour service. C-Spine routes will not serve Westmoreland Street or Pearse St stops, and will instead serve Aston Quay and Tara Street.
Phase 2 routes will be operated by Dublin Bus, with the exception of the L51 and L52 which will be operated by Go-Ahead Ireland.
As a result of C-Spine, the following routes will be removed, 25, 25a, 25b, 25d, 25x, 66, 66a, 66b, 66e, 66n, 66x, 67, 67n, 67x and 239.
