As part of the National Transport Authority’s public transport awareness Summer 2015 campaign, there will be two weeks of Kids go Free this July. From Monday 6th July to Sunday 19th July all children aged 4 to 18 years will travel for free on Dublin Bus services when using a Child Leap card.
To avail of the free offer, the child must validate their Child Leap card at the smartcard validator on the right-hand side as they enter the bus. Each child must have an individual Child Leap card, children aged 4 to 15 years can us the anonymous card while children aged 16 to 18 years must have a personalised card.
The Kids go Free promotion also applies to DART and Luas services, however, Airlink, Tours, Nitelink and contracted services are not included. Children without a Child Leap card must pay the appropriate fare.

Kids Go Free Technical Fault and Refund Process
Due to a technical fault on Dublin Bus, fares were deducted from some child leap cards on Monday 6th of July, the first day of the Kids go free promotion. All cards involved have been identified and a refund has been arranged which can be collected within the next 21 days by simply going to any Leap Card agent/store, and asking for a balance check on your Leap Card. The refund will be automatically processed as a result of this balance check.
