We’re hiring bus drivers, mechanics and engineering operatives!

Do you hold a car licence or are you a qualified mechanic? Then come along and speak to a member of our team about joining Dublin Bus.

When: Saturday 10 December 2022 (10am – 5pm) 
Where: Dublin Bus Head Office, 59 Upper O’Connell St, Dublin 1, D01RX04 – Google maps location here 

A large number of Dublin Bus routes serve O’Connell Street. The location is also served closely by Luas Red Line (Abbey Street) and Green Line (Marlborough).

Bus Drivers:
Salary: €791.55 per week increasing to €916.50 (six-year pay scale, 5-day week inclusive of shift and Sunday premium)Increasing to €815.30 from 01 January 2023, on a six-year pay scale rising to €943.99.
Shifts: New drivers will operate scheduled services covering a 5-day week with rotating shifts (including night service).
Training: Initial training and mentoring is provided as well as on-going training and development (including periodic CPC).
Benefits: On appointment (following a probationary period of 12 months), we will offer you a wide range of benefits including either a company pension scheme or a PRSA pension scheme, a subsidised medical scheme, free bus travel and concessionary rail travel.

Mechanics:
Salary: €727.90 per week rising to €865.49 based on an 8 year pay scale and a 39-hour week. (Shift premium of up to 30% applicable for shift and night work).Salary increasing to €742.46 from 01 January 2023, on an eight-year pay scale rising to €882.80.
Shifts: All successful applicants may be required to work, day/night or rotating shifts depending on the staffing requirements of their location and will be required to drive all company vehicles.

Engineering Operatives:
Salary: €526.19 per week rising to €589.64 based on an 8 year pay scale with shift premium applicable for night and shift work (up to 30% of basic pay).Increasing to €536.71 from 01 January 2023, on an eight-year pay scale rising to €601.43.
Shifts: All successful applicants may be required to work, day/night or rotating shifts depending on the staffing requirements of their location and will be required to drive all company vehicles.
