From today, Dublin Bus Ghostbus Tour is running two special tours at 7pm and 9.30pm every night up to Monday 31st October. To further celebrate this Halloween season, anyone who books online will receive a 20% Discount.

Dublin is famous for elegant Georgian squares and graceful architecture, however often behind the façades of splendour, lurks stories of gruesome tales and ghostly happenings!

For over 12 years Dublin Bus has taken people through the mysteries of the supernatural and sometimes demonic forces which stalk the streets of Dublin city with their fiendishly fun Ghostbus Tour.

The Dublin Bus Ghostbus Tour is an eclectic mix of comedy, history and spine chilling ghost stories. This unique attraction, with sinister accessories and dark atmosphere are not for the squeamish. As you settle in for the evening the resident storyteller takes you on a spellbinding trip through Dublin’s sinister past.

During the tour passengers will learn about the real origins of Dracula and his Dublin born inventor, Bram Stoker, recreate the strange activities of Dr. Clossey at the College of Physicans. The tour also visits St. Audeon’s and the Forty Steps, a meeting place for Dublin’s notorious Hellfire Club, which is haunted by Darkey Kelly, an 18th Century Madame whose ghost is said to wander up and down the steps.

Dublin Bus launched the Ghostbus Tour in 1998 and it has been spreading the spook since then. Tickets for the tour are priced at €28 and can be bought online for €22.40, up to one hour before the departure time, on www.dublinsightseeing.ie or from Dublin Bus Head Office, 59 Upper O’Connell Street& Desk 3, Dublin Tourism Office Suffolk Street. The tour lasts for approximately for 2 hours and begins from Dublin Bus Headquarters on O’Connell Street.

The Ghostbus Tour has also been nominated for a Dublin Cultural Attraction of the Year Award at the first Dublin Living Awards.
