Route 10

Dublin Bus wishes to inform customers that from 31st October, Route 10 will no longer operate, but will be replaced by Route 46a on the northside of the city and Route 39a on the Southside of the city. This change is part of Network Direct, a redesign of bus services in Dublin City to provide a more direct, high frequency and punctual service.

I currently board Route 10 on O’Connell Street travelling Southbound. What are my alternative service options?
A number of high frequency routes will operate from Bachelors Walk or College Street travelling towards Baggot Street, Donnybrook and UCD Belfield. Routes 37, 39, 39a and 70 will operate towards Baggot Street, with a bus every 3 minutes at peak times. Route 39a will operate to UCD Belfield, with a bus every 5 minutes at peak times. Alternatively, Route 38, 38a will operate from O’Connell Street to Baggot Street.

What service does Route 46a provide?
Route 46a operates every 8-10 minutes on weekdays until 21.00hrs and every 20 minutes thereafter until the last bus at 23.20 hrs and also operates at weekends.

Where does Route 46a now serve?
Route 46a operates from Infirmary Road (Phoenix Park) to Dún Laoghaire. It operates via Hanlon’s Corner, Doyle’s Corner, Mater Hospital, O’Connell Street,St. Stephen’s Green, Leeson Street, Donnybrook, UCD Belfield Flyover, Stillorgan Road and onwards to Dún Laoghaire.

How can I travel from Infirmary Road (Phoenix Park) / North Circular Road to Belfield?
Any customers who wish to travel from Infirmary Road (Phoenix Park) to Baggot Street can take Route 46a to Hanlon’s Corner and transfer to the high frequency 39a with a bus every 5 minutes at peak times.

Does Route 46a serve UCD Belfield?
Yes, Route 46a stops at the Belfield/UCD flyover in both directions.

Where can I get Route 46a travelling from the City Centre to Infirmary Road?
Route 46a bus stops are located on Leeson Street (opposite Institute of Education), Dawson Street, (Stop NG), Suffolk Street (outside Pizza Hut), or O’Connell Street(outside Dr. Quirkey’s).

What service will Route 39a provide?
Route 39a will operate every 5-10 minutes on weekdays until 21.00hrs and every
20 minutes thereafter until the last bus at 23.20 hrs and will also operate at weekends.

How can I travel from City Centre to Baggot Street?
Any customers who wish to travel from City Centre to Baggot Street can take
Routes 38, 38a from O’Connell Street and Routes 37, 39, 39a, 70 from Bachelors
Walk to Baggot Street.

Will Route 39a serve UCD Belfield?
Yes, Route 39a will operate directly into UCD Belfield, terminating at the current
Route 10 terminus.

Where can I get Route 39a travelling Southbound from City Centre to UCD Belfield?
Route 39a bus stops are located on Bachelors Walk, College Street (Trinity
College Wall), Nassau Street, Kildare Street and Merrion Row.

Where can I get Route 39a travelling Northbound from City Centre to Ongar?
Route 39a bus stops are located on St. Stephen’s Green North, Dawson Street,
Suffolk Street and Aston Quay.
