Diversions due to Giro d'Italia

Dublin Bus wishes to advise customers that due to the  Giro d'Italia there will be a number of diversions in place on Saturday 10th and Sunday 11th May 2014.

Pre Race Day Closures from 05:00hrs Saturday 10th May 2014 to 23:00hrs on Sunday 11th May 2014
Merrion Square South, Fitzwilliam Street Lower and Mount Street Upper will be closed from 05:00hrs Saturday 10th May 2014 to 23:00hrs on Sunday 11th May 2014.

Merrion Square West and Merrion Street Upper will be closed from 16:00hrs Saturday 10th May 2014 to 23:00hrs on Sunday 11th May 2014.

Due to the above closures the following Temporary Termini and Route Diversions will apply:

Routes 25/a/b from first bus Saturday May 10th to 23:00hrs Sunday May 11th
Towards City Centre

Normal route to St. Stephen’s Green North then divert to St. Stephen’s Green East, Leeson Street to Wilton Terrace and terminate.
From City Centre
Depart Wilton Terrace left to Cumberland Road left to Fitzwilliam Place right to Leeson Street and continue on Leeson Street on to normal route.

Routes 26, 66/a/b and 67 from first bus Saturday May 10th to 23:00hrs Sunday May 11th
Towards City Centre
Normal route to Nassau Street then divert to Kildare Street, St Stephens Green North, St Stephens Green East, Leeson Street to Wilton Terrace and terminate.
From City Centre
Depart Wilton Terrace left to Cumberland Road left to Fitzwilliam Place right to Leeson Street, St Stephens Green, Dawson Street left to Nassau Street to Suffolk st. and normal route.

Routes 44 & 61 from 16:00hrs Saturday May 10th to 23:00hrs Sunday May 11th
Southbound
Normal Route to D’Olier Street then divert via College Street, Nassau Street, Kildare Street, Merrion Row to St. Stephen’s Green East and back on to normal route.

Northbound

Normal route to Dawson st. left to Suffolk st and normal route.

City Tours from 16:00hrs Saturday May 10th to 23:00hrs Sunday May 11th
Normal route to Nassau Street then divert via Kildare Street to Merrion Row and Ely Place and back on to normal route. 

Sunday 11th May from 13:30hrs to 16:00hrs approx road closed from Balbriggan to Skerries, Lusk/, and Swords

Route 33 from 1330hrs to 1400hrs approx:
From City Centre

Normal Route to Blake’s Cross then divert via R132 continue on R132 to Balbriggan to take third exit on Dublin Street roundabout to turn at Castleland Roundabout and terminate.
Towards City Centre
Depart temporary terminus turn left for R132 to Lissenhall and normal route.

Route 33 from 14:00hrs to 16:00hrs approx:
From City Centre
Normal route to Airport Roundabout then divert on third exit to M1 northbound. Exit M1 on junction 5 and follow R132 to Balbriggan to take third exit on Dublin Street roundabout to turn at Castle land Roundabout and terminate.
Towards City Centre
From temporary terminus follow R132 to Junction 5, M1. Follow M1 south to Junction 2 Airport return to R132 southbound and back on to normal route.

From 14:00hrs to 16:00hrs approximately Road closure R132 Swords by-pass from Lissenhall

Route 33b
From Swords
Depart Pavillions Shopping Centre on normal route then divert left at Swords Garda Station to Dublin Street, Pinnock Hill, Airport Roundabout to M1 Northbound, exit at junction 4, M1 Lissenhall to R126 Hearse Road and back on to normal route.
Towards Swords
Normal route to Hearse Road then divert at Junction 4 M1 to M1 southbound exit at Airport, Junction 2 M1 to Old Swords Road, Pinnock Hill, Swords By-pass to terminate at Pavillions Shopping Centre.

Route 102 from 14:00hrs to 16:00hrs approx:
From Airport
Normal route to junction of R106 and R107 at Malahide then divert right on R107 Malahide Road then left at Clare Hall to R139 to Grange Road, Brookstone Road take left turn for Willie Nolan Road cross at designated race crossing, Baldoyle Church to Strand Road and continue to normal route.
From Sutton
Normal route to Strand Road then divert straight to continue on Strand Road to cross at designated race crossing to Willie Nolan Road, Brookstone Road, Grange Road, R139, turn right to R107 Malahide Road then left to R106 Swords Road and continue straight past Seabury junction on R106 to normal route.

Route 43 from 14:00hrs to 16:00hrs approx:
From City Centre
Normal route to North Street Swords then divert left to Estuary Road right to Balheary Road left to Glen Ellen take 4th exit on Glen Ellen roundabout and terminate at first stop on left.
Towards City Centre
From Glen Ellen right to Balheary Road, left to Estuary Road right to North Street and normal route.

Route 42 from 14:00hrs to 16:00hrs approx:
From City Centre
Normal route on Malahide Road until immediately after junction with Streamstown Lane then divert right to ‘Back Road’ at Malahide Castle Grounds continue straight to junction with R124, turn right to R124 and continue straight to turn and terminate at old route 42 terminus at Seamount.
Towards City Centre
Depart Seamount continue toward Malahide, turn left to ‘Back Road’ turn left at junction with Malahide Road to normal route.

Route 29a from 14:00hrs to 16:00hrs approx:
From City Centre
Normal route to Grange Road then right to Abbey Park and terminate at old 32b terminus.
Towards City Centre
Depart temporary terminus and exit Abbey Park left to Grange Road and back on to normal route.

Route 31/a from 14:00hrs to 16:00hrs approx
From City Centre
Normal route to Raheny then divert right to Watermill Road left to Main Street and left again to Howth Road and terminate at first stop.
Towards City Centre
Depart temporary terminus at Raheny Village to normal route.
2 shuttle buses will operate from Sutton Cross following the 31 route to Howth Summit via Sutton left to Church Road right to Greenfield Road right at Sutton Cross to Howth road.

Route 32 from 14:00hrs to 16:00hrs approx
From Cit Centre
Normal route to Raheny then divert right to Watermill Road left to Main Street and left again to Howth Road and terminate at first stop.
Towards City Centre
Depart temporary terminus at Raheny Village.

Route 130 from 14:00hrs to 16:30hrs approx
From City Centre

Normal route to Fairview then divert left to Howth Road continue to Killester right to Castle Avenue left to Vernon Avenue right to Vernon Avenue left to Mount Prospect Avenue right to Seapark Road to normal route.
Towards City Centre
Normal route to Seafield Avenue then divert left to Mount Prospect Avenue right to Vernon Avenue left to Vernon Avenue right to castle Avenue left to Howth Road continue to Fairview and back on to normal route.

Route 747 from 14:00hrs to 16:45hrs approx
From Heuston Station
Normal route to Busaras then divert via Amiens Street, North Strand, Fairview, Malahide Road left to Collins Avenue right to N1 to M1 and back on to normal route.
Towards Heuston Station
Normal route to M1 then divert to N1 left to Collins Avenue right to Malahide Road, Fairview, North Strand to Amiens Street and back on to normal route.

Routes 4 and 7
Northbound from 09:00hrs to 17:00hrs approx

Normal Route to Merrion Road then divert via Pembroke Road to Baggot Street, Pembroke Street, Leeson Street, St Stephens Green East, North, Dawson Street, Nassau Street, Suffolk Street, College Green to Westmoreland Street and back on to normal route.
Southbound from 14:00hrs to 17:00hrs approx
Normal Route to Nassau Street then divert to Kildare Street, Merrion Row, Baggot Street, Pembroke Road to Ballsbridge and back on to normal route.

Route 151 from 14:00hrs until closure of Memorial Bridge
Towards City Centre

Normal route to Eden Quay and terminate.
From City Centre
Depart Eden Quay to Beresford Place, Gardiner Street left to Sean McDermott Street, Cathal Brugha Street left to O’Connell Street, D’Olier Street to College Street and back on to normal route.

As the race approaches Memorial Bridge the Gardai will enforce a full closure at that time routes 14, 15, 27 and 151 will divert as follows:

Routes 14, 15, 27 southbound after closure of Memorial Bridge
Normal route to Amiens Street then divert right to Talbot Street right to Gardiner Street left to Sean McDermott Street, Cathal Brugha Street left to O’Connell Street, D’Olier Street to College Street and back on to normal route.

Route 151 from City Centre after closure of Memorial Bridge
Depart Eden Quay to Beresford Place, Gardiner Street left to Sean McDermott Street, Cathal Brugha Street left to O’Connell Street, D’Olier Street to College Street and back on to normal route.

Routes 15a/15b from 0900 to 1400 will operate to and from Ringsend Depot

Routes 15a and 15b from 14:00hrs to 17:00hrs approx

Towards City Centre
Normal route to Tara Street then divert left to Hawkins Street and terminate.
From City Centre
Depart Hawkins Street to College Street and back on to normal route.

Routes 1, 47, 56a and 77a
Gardai will allow buses across the Pearse Street Junction with Lombard Street up until the race approaches and will reopen the crossing as soon as the race has passed. The estimated closure of crossings is 20 minutes. Routes 1, 56a and 77a will terminate at Hawkins Street for this period. Route 47 will stay on route until crossing reopens.

Buses will remain on pre race diversion outlined above
Northbound
Buses will proceed to Dawson Street then divert left to Nassau Street, Suffolk Street, College Green to Westmoreland Street and back on to normal route.
