On Friday 19th September Culture Night will take place. This year Dublin will boast over 40 new participating venues in Culture Night which include guided tours of the official residence of the President of Ireland, Áras an Uachtaráin, tours and talks in Ireland’s largest urban farm and food experience, Airfield Dundrum, and the largest outdoor programme for the capital to date.
As a special attraction visitors will be able to discover a half-hidden aspect of Georgian Dublin, Merrion Square will come alive for the night with Downstairs Dublin lighting up the outside basements with a series of talks, installations, projections, music and pop-up events.
At The Complex in Smithfield Square an exciting night of drive-in movies is planned with The Mission and Whatever Happened to Baby Jane on the big screen. For those who want to pack more than one venue into the night, double the number of unique Culture Night Tours of each Dublin quarter, including a bike tour, will be on offer as well as bespoke tours such as the Surprise Le Cool Experience.
