Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Published on Wednesday, October 01, 2014

The Irish Cancer Society is calling on men and women all over Ireland to come together this October to fight breast cancer by taking part in their new Paint it Pink campaign.

Paint it Pink is a fun way for people to raise money for the Society’s work in breast cancer funding vital research, advocacy and services to those affected by breast cancer.

The campaign is all about: doing something big or small to paint it pink on October 3rd by hosting a pink event or doing something pink, sharing pictures of your activity on social media using the hashtag #PINKPICS, and texting the word Pink 50300 to donate €4 to the Society.*

You can wear a pink tie, bake a pink cake, host a pink party, paint your nails pink, change your profile picture pink or even paint your house pink! Take a picture of your efforts, share it with your friends using #PINKPICS and don’t forget to donate by texting Pink to 50300 to give €4 to the Irish Cancer Society.

There are other ways to Paint it Pink during October, you can Paint it Pink:

• by buying and wearing a pink ribbon
• with a fundraising event like a coffee morning or sponsored walk
• at work with wear pink day, spin-a-thon, or cake sale
• by joining our advocacy campaign to extend breast cancer screening

There are so many ways to get involved. Visit www.paintitpink.ie for more information, ideas and much more!

* All €4 goes to the Society unless a provider applies VAT when a minimum of €3.25 will go to the Society. Service provided by Likecharity 01-4433890.
