Cut to the Chase campaign; our newest customer experience improvement

Published on Tuesday, November 08, 2016

Hello and welcome to the latest instalment of Network News.

This week saw the launch of our ‘Cut to the Chase’ campaign that highlights the new ways you can get instant updates about your bus route on Twitter and through our App. Customer service is a top priority for us and we are constantly looking for ways to make your experience with us as efficient and stress-free as possible. Our ‘Cut to the Chase’ campaign is about making it easier for you to find service updates and route information that relates to your commute; it’s a way to cut through all the noise and clutter that is irrelevant to you on your journey.

Twitter
We are changing the way in which we bring our news to you on Twitter. All our tweets now contain #DB followed by a unique message or route number. This means instead of trawling through our Twitter account looking for service announcements or updates for your route you can simply search #DB followed by your route number, e.g. #DB46a, to find all the information you need.

If you want to ask a question about your bus route then simply tweet @dublinbusnews and include the hashtag route number, #DB46a, in your tweet and our Customer Service Team will get back to you.

If you are heading to a concert in the Aviva or a match in Croker, simply search #DBGettingThere and find out which routes to take.

Over the coming weeks you will see new hashtags in all our tweets; from exciting new announcements, #DBNewbie, to our weekly giveaways, #DBFreebie.

Dublin Bus App
Our App has a new Alert feature that will let you know of any major disruptions along your route on the Real Time Info page for your bus stop.

For more details you can view our helpful video

We have been using Twitter for years to allow us to deal with your queries live and these changes now make it as easy as possible for you to find the information you need. Our app has also proved hugely successful with over 1 million downloads to date. The new Alerts section provides important updates about your route as quickly as possible to minimise any disruption to your journey.

We will continue to find new ways to improve our services, to ensure we are offering an efficient, reliable and sustainable service for you.
