Joyce Tower & Museum Tour

The ‘Spring into Heritage’ programme of events is a series of free guided tours run by the Heritage Office of Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council. They are suitable for schools, students, families, historic groups and individuals interested in local history.

This year, the Joyce Tower & Museum at Sandycove which is staffed by volunteers from the Friends of Joyce Tower Society will actively support the DLR ‘Spring into Heritage’ programme.

Each day, at 10.30 am and again at 2.30 pm, from April 24th to June 9th, one of our enthusiastic and knowledgeable volunteers will show you around the most famous building in world literature where James Joyce’s masterpiece, Ulysses, begins.

You will learn why this Martello tower was built, hear about its association with James Joyce and you can enjoy the absolutely stunning views of Dublin bay from the top of this iconic building.
