Green Day

US rockers Green Day have announced a massive outdoor concert at the Royal Hospital Kilmainham in Dublin next June.
The American Idiot hitmakers will perform the summer show on Thursday, 29 June, 2017 with special guests Rancid.
It comes as the band released their 12th studio album Revolution Radio this year which debuted at number one in Ireland.

Commenting on the announcement, MCD Productions said: "Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees and Grammy Award-winning rock band Green Day announce they will return to Dublin, June 29th 2017 at Royal Hospital Kilmainham with special guests Rancid 
"Fans attending are advised that there is no parking at the venue and to use public transport and city centre car parks.

The Royal Hospital Kilmainham (Irish: Ospidéal Ríochta Chill Mhaighneann) in Kilmainham, Dublin, is one of the finest 17th-century buildings in Ireland.

The hospital was built in 1684 by Sir William Robinson, official State Surveyor General for James Butler, 1st Duke of Ormonde and Lord Lieutenant of Ireland to King Charles II, as a home for retired soldiers and continued in that use for over 250 years.
